  • What project aspects affect pricing on surveying services?          Pricing will vary based on the project location, terrain, site conditions, age of the parcel, and whether there have been recent surveys done in the area. We strive to provide competitive pricing based on these factors. We would suggest that those looking at a number of price quotes to verify that they are working with a licensed professional.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?    When a customer reaches out to us, our Professional Surveyor (PS) will begin by asking the purpose and location of the survey. This will allow him to research the parcel and determine the appropriate price for the services required. Once we receive a signed quote, our PS will begin further research and drafting of the legal descriptions of the parcel and the neighboring parcels. PS will then arrive at the site and look for existing monumentation of the parcel boundary lines. PS collects the data and processes it to determine the boundary line locations. We can then mark the boundary lines and set rebar at any corners that are missing marks. PS also will create a drawing that is provided to the customer for their records.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?                         We have worked with homeowners looking to install fences, those who have boundary disputes with their neighbors, and those who are building new houses or garages on their lots. We have also worked with construction companies to lay out where the site improvements are to be located. Another service provided is Elevation Certificates to homeowners and businesses, which can help with their Flood Insurance rates.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?                                                 Make sure you hire a licensed Professional Surveyor. Only they can verify the boundary of your property, and can help you if there is any issue with the boundary. The name of companies and individuals who are licensed can be checked on the state's website.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?                                              Let the Surveyor know the of any issues with neighbors, or rough terrain or woods on the property. Understand the value of knowing where your property lines actually are to avoid issues down the road.
